About
The North Seattle Family Resource Center (NSFRC), a program of Akin, formerly Children’s Home Society of Washington, is a multi-service family support program in Lake City. We work with children, youth and families by assisting them in securing needed services and developing support systems that enable them to prevent unmanageable crises or family dysfunction later on. NSFRC’s programs build on family strengths and expand family members’ capacity to manage day-to-day pressures while also being supportive and nurturing of each other. We are driven by a clear purpose: to disrupt systemic inequities and build healthier, more equitable futures for children and families. We achieve this by partnering with individuals, families, and communities, focusing on holistic well-being and dismantling the systems that perpetuate injustice.
